VLM Cartridge Not Recognized - Unable to Resolve

Hello Inkjet Mall–I have 4 Cone Color cartridges currently installed in my Epson 3880. Last night I installed a VLM cartridge. I get the error, “Please install the correct cartridge.” After searching the forum, I attempted some troubleshooting: Shimmed the cartridge up with paper, adjusted the tabs on the chip, taped it down, and also tried 2 different Epson VLM chips, as I had two empty cartridges on hand. No troubleshooting seemed to work. My VLM cartridge came in a box dated August 2016. The reset chip is labeled for the 3880.

Can you please assist?
